Lupient Partners with A Better Chance

This fall, Lupient Automotive Group is proud to partner with Edina A Better Chance, a great organization that has been operating since 1972.

A Better Chance (ABC) is a national organization that has one main goal in mind: to provide an excellent educational opportunity to students of color. They aim to increase the number of well-educated minority students in order to allow them to access their full potential. Since 1972, the Edina ABC chapter has graduated over 100 students, the first chapter to do so.

Roughly six scholars earn the opportunity to participate in Edina ABC each year. ABC has relationships with high schools all over the country and these high schools recommend potential students. Once recommended, these students go through rigorous testing and interviews with national representatives and the applicants are then viewed by the participating ABC high schools, where the final decision is made.

The educational path for ABC students is not an easy one, however, the benefits they receive are far worth the challenging schedule. Not only must these students complete advanced courses where they need to maintain a grade point average of “B” or better, but they are also required to participate in extracurricular and community service activities.

Graduating from the ABC program means a bright feature for these scholars as they use the knowledge they have gained from this opportunity to grow into mature and successful adults.

October 1st at 7 p.m. will bring you an opportunity of your own. Edina A Better Chance is hosting a musical event to support these wonderful and well-deserving students. The concert will blend the Minneapolis sound with the Nashville sound to create a unique musical experience you will not want to miss. Featured artists include Grammy Award winner Bryan White, Minneapolis R and B/Funk Royalty Stokley Williams (Mint Condition), St Paul Peterson (The Time/The Family/Steve Miller Band) and Ricky Peterson (Prince/David Sanborn).
